The Scoring Machine™

Latest Press Release

The premier golf scoring app for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch

Bullard, TX, April 2014 – Mulligan Software has released The Scoring Machine, a golf organization and scoring app for mobile devices from Apple. Building on scoring features of the Mulligan’s Eagle™ desktop application for the Mac, The Scoring Machine can organize and score for one or many players by itself, or it can serve as a remote scorekeeping device collecting on-course results for delivery to other devices, including Eagle on the desktop for more complex reporting and handicapping requirements.

The Scoring Machine can manage medal (stroke) or match play, using strokes or points systems like Stableford, Chicago or The INTERNATIONAL. It properly handicaps and calculates team scores in Four-Ball, Best Ball, Waltz, Cha-Cha and other games. It can handicap and score one-ball team play, like Foursomes, Greensomes, scrambles and Chapman. It can keep scorecard points games like the 9-point game or “baseball” using handicap differences. It does ”skins”. It knows how to calculate “one-time” handicaps for charity events, using Callaway, Scheid, Peoria, Modified Peoria or Zig-Zag systems. It expands upon the betting capabilities of Mulligan Software’s iPress app to allow complete match play results for any player against the field, with support for Nassau variations, automatic presses and wagering results.

As a remote scorekeeping tool on the course, The Scoring Machine can use an iCloud or Dropbox account to publish information about competition or receive it, then retrieve results from, or deliver results to, other devices sharing that account. For users of Mulligan’s Eagle, recently enhanced to publish the player, course and event information required for remote scoring, The Scoring Machine makes an iPhone or iPad the perfect remote scoring device.

There are no ads in The Scoring Machine, no subscriptions, no in-app purchases or fees.†

The Scoring Machine app is available on the App Store, from a compatible device or via iTunes on the desktop for a list price of $9.99 USD. At release, it operates on any device using iOS version 5.1.1 or later.‡ It is optimized for iOS 7 and iPhone 5.
