Saving a Player Document

When you've completed entering the player's name and other information, you're ready to save the completed document to your disk. When Golf Personal searches for Player document files, it looks first in the folder containing the application. It then proceeds to search all of the folders it finds in the application's folder and so forth. When you wish to save a Player document where the application can find it automatically, you should save it in the application's folder or a sub-folder. In our example, we keep Player documents in a folder called "Players."

Save the document by choosing Save from the File menu or by entering S on your keyboard.

You can also tell Golf Personal to save your document by pressing the Save button on the toolbar.

If there are errors in any of the information you entered, or you missed entering some of it, you will be reminded to correct your entry before you can save the document.

If all your information is correct, Golf Personal displays a dialog for you to indicate where, and with what name, to save the Player document:

To save, navigate to the Players folder inside the application folder, verify that the name of the document is appropriate and click the Save button. If you wish to save the document as Player stationery, from which others might make copies, then first click the radio button next to the Player stationery icon, then click the Save button.

Note: When a Player document has been saved to disk, the little player icon next to the player's name is draggable. It can be dragged and dropped on a Golf Personal scorecard or Team window, to the desktop, or to the trash.
