Installing Mulligan's
Golf Personal
Before you start installing, make sure the diskette is "write protected"
by sliding the write-protect tab toward the edge of the diskette so you
can see light through both square holes. You might wish to make a copy of
the diskette for backup, too.

Insert the diskette labeled "Golf Personal Disk 1" in your
floppy drive and double-click the diskette icon on your desktop to open
a window displaying its contents.

Golf Personal Disk 1
Double-click the "* Install Read Me *" document in the window
to read about any last-minute changes to Golf Personal or how it is installed.
Of course, if you received Golf Personal by downloading via the internet
or on CD-ROM, you will not have diskettes, but you will still have the installer.
To install, double-click the "Golf Personal Install" icon.
You may want to review or print the installation instructions.

Standard Installation Dialog
A Standard installation installs the 'native' version of Golf Personal
and its supporting files on your hard disk. Click Install to continue or
click Custom to select software for a Custom installation.

Custom Installation Dialog
For a Custom installation, select the items to be installed and click
the Install button. You can custom install a 'fat' version of the Golf Personal
application, the latest AppleGuide software, Macintosh Drag & Drop for
systems earlier than 7.5, and (not shown) folders containing handicapping
plug-ins and sample clubs and players.
When you've started the installation process, a dialog like the following
asks where you want the software installed:

Example Installation Dialog
Navigate until you are inside the disk or folder in which you
want to install the entire "Golf Personal" folder, like the Applications
folder in this example, but don't select any folders in the scrolling list.
If there is already a "Golf Personal" folder, that's fine - the
software in that existing folder will be updated and any existing Club or
Player documents will remain untouched. When you're ready, click the Install
button to continue the installation, inserting the appropriate installation
diskettes when you're asked for them.
Of course, if you're installing from an installer on CD-ROM or one you
downloaded from a web or ftp site, you won't be asked to insert any diskettes.

After finishing the installation, a new (or updated) golf personal folder
is located where you indicated.
In some cases, you may be asked to restart your Macintosh. You can do
this by selecting Restart from the Special menu. |
