What Your Macintosh Needs
Mulligan's Golf Personal has been designed to run
with Macintosh System 7 or better, including Mac OS 8. It will not
run under the older Macintosh System 6. You can purchase the most recent
version of the Mac OS from your Macintosh software dealer. Mac OS version
7.5 or higher is recommended to get the most of Mulligan's Golf Personal.
Mulligan's Golf Personal will need about 4 mb of
available memory to operate on a Macintosh 68K machine (68020 or better),
like a Mac II, a Quadra or a 68K-based Performa. It will use slightly more
memory on a Power Macintosh machine, and it will operate fine with Virtual
Memory on or off.
The Golf Personal application, together with
its supporting files, like Apple Guide files, handicapping plug-ins, sample
files and "Read Me" files, will require about 5-7 mb of hard disk
space for a complete installation.
If you received Mulligan's Golf Personal on high-density
(HD) diskettes, the floppy drive on your Macintosh must be capable of reading
high-density diskettes. If you received Mulligan's Golf Personal on CD-ROM,
then, of course, you need a CD-ROM drive connected to your Macintosh.
Golf Personal is installed on your Macintosh
as a 'native' application, built specifi cally for your 68K or Power Macintosh
computer. You may also install Golf Per sonal as a 'fat' application. That
means that the application contains the code for native operation on both
68K-based and PowerPC-based machines, making it considerably larger.
To use the Apple Guide features of Golf Personal, you need to have support
for Apple Guide installed on your computer. Golf Personal supports text-to-speech
and speech recognition (PowerPC only) if you have them installed. |
