Spring 2009 Press Release MULLIGAN SOFTWARE RELEASES LONG-AWAITED GOLF SCORING SEQUELMulligan's Eagle 2.0 Sets a New Standard for Scoring, Stats and Handicapping on the Mac Bullard, TX, Spring 2009 - Mulligan Software has finally released Mulligan's Eagle 2.0, a golf scoring, stats and handicapping application for modern Mac computers. Until recently, users of their Mulligan's Golf Personal™ stats and handicapping application, originally released in 1995, have been able to keep personal golfing records, evaluate performance, and track handicaps on any Mac that supported the "Classic" operating systems - Apple's System 7, Mac OS 8, Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X. The loss of Classic support on Intel-based Macs and Mac OS X version 10.5 (Leopard) has left golf enthusiasts looking for an alternative. Mulligan's Eagle 2.0™, under development practically forever, not only provides the personal recordkeeping, stats and handicapping for individual golfers, but includes scoring and handicapping support for golf pros and their clubs, teams and their coaches, golf event organizers, ladies' and men's play-day, league and tournament directors. Completely redesigned, Mulligan's Eagle now includes capabilities to organize, handicap and score golf events for a foursome or for a golf course full of players. It supports the familiar forms of play, like best-ball, foursomes and scrambles as well as less well known individual and team formats like Irish Four-Ball, Waltz, Cha-Cha, and the Ritz. It can compute and use the correct handicaps for every kind of play, and handle gross, net, Stableford, Chicago, International, and other scoring methods. For events with unhandicapped golfers, like charity golf outings, Mulligan's Eagle can compute on-the-fly handicaps using the Callaway System, the Peoria Systems, System 36 and the Zig-Zag method. It can score match play competition, including hole-by-hole wagering with automatic and manual presses for regular, Nassau, front and back nine, or 3-by-6 matches. Mulligan's Eagle can import all the club and player files produced by its predecessor. Like before, it can record, analyze and report stats, records and "personal bests" for 9-hole or 18-hole play for men, women, and juniors. An archive of data about golf courses around the world, accumulated by Mulligan Software and its customers, is now available online directly from the application. The software can accommodate any number of golf courses, players, scorecards, rounds and events. A complete User's Guide in printable electronic form is included. The software is available as a Universal Binary, which means it operates on both PowerPC and Intel-based Mac computers running Mac OS X version 10.4 (Tiger) or later. The software provides a 30-day full-feature trial and can be activated with a serial number purchased from within the application or from Mulligan Software's web site at http://www.mulligansoftware.com. Currently, Mulligan's Eagle is only available online. Mulligan Software is an independent Mac software development company specializing in applications for golfers and the golf industry. Since 1995, Mulligan Software has been keeping score for golf enthusiasts worldwide. ###Mulligan Software, Mulligan's Golf Personal and Mulligan's Eagle are trademarks of Mulligan Software.
